I am just finishing up my Tuesday night and thought I’d surf around some. I found a bunch of meme’s at this site. So I’m gonna do some of the one’s for Tuesdays.

This one is from Tuesday is Choose Day:

Would you rather:
1.your best friend overhear you telling somebody else a deep secret about them OR your child overhear you venting your frustrations about your significant other?

I suppose the child thing because I don’t have kids, so I guess I don’t really understand how damaging that can be.

2.learn an obscure language only spoken by 15 other people on the planet OR be able to guess somebody’s exact birthdate, just by looking at them?

Guess their birthdate – that would be awesome to do at parties and bars. I’d make money winning bets.

3.have eyebrows that grow in VERY bushy, daily, no matter how you try to prune them OR make a sound like a tuba whenever you blow your nose?

Make a tuba sound. I don’t have time to pluck my brows each and every day.

4.have a job that makes $200,000 a year, but you only get to see your family once a week for 3 hours OR make just enough to survive from check-to-check, but be able to see your family whenever you want?

Make just enough to live from paycheck to paycheck – I’ve been there and it’s hard, but not as hard as not having family around.

This one is from Tuesday Twosome:

End of May:

1. Name two things you will miss this summer:

I kinda feel like the summer is just beginning, but I guess I’ll miss even more time with Mark – I love being with him. And I’ll miss not seeing my family as much – we’re all so busy.

2. Name two things that you won’t miss this summer:

I won’t miss getting up early for work, and I won’t miss having to deal with other people when I’m not in the mood. I’m mostly all alone all summer.

3. Vacation: “Planning on one” or “Don’t have the time and/or money to take one”:

Planning on one. Our 9th anniversary is in August and we’re going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to have some R&R

4. Warmer weather: “Finally” or “Crap! I want cooler weather”:

Finally, but it won’t be long before I’m ready for cooler weather and football!

5. Memorial Day (USA): “A much needed day off” or “I have to work”

I’m off anyway, so we’ll probably just treat it like any other day.

This one is from TV Tuesday:

1. What’s your favorite sitcom?

I guess I’d have to say Seinfeld. I really don’t watch much TV

2. Is there a sitcom you really don’t like?

Most of them. I guess I haven’t really seen many to actually have an opinion though.

3. Which sitcom did you used to like, but now it just seems too hokey?

I really like “The Cosby Show” and “Roseanne” but I don’t watch them any more. Can you tell how long it’s been since I’ve watched sitcoms…

~Bonus~ If your life was a sitcom, what would the title be?

I think we’d name it “Franks and Beans” because our last name is Frank.

Well, that’s all folks! Good night!

I did some crafting today that can be seen here. I think I’ll spend the rest of the night doing some writing, knitting, reading. Oh, those darn bathrooms haven’t been cleaned yet – guess I need to schedule that sometime.

The weather is incredible! It’s so cool and wonderful. There’s a slight little breeze and it’s so nice to have everything open. It smells like rain since that’s what it’s been doing on and off all day. Good sleeping weather tonight!

Sometimes Blogger pisses me off. I am the kind of person that wants things done right away. So, when I write a new post on my blog, and then hit publish – I expect that it’s going to be there. Wrong. Sometimes it’s there, and sometimes it’s not. So, I re-publish, AND sometimes it’s there, and sometimes it’s not. It’s just a crap shoot. Not real good in my eyes. I think once I hit publish that should be it. No more sitting around “waiting” to see if my post will ever show.

Oh well – I got up super early today and went into work. I woke up early for a couple of reasons – the kitty was sleeping on top of me and purring very loudly, AND my mind was really in over-drive thinking about getting my online class ready to go for next week. I’m just a little anxious to get it all set up and wash my hands of it till the class begins. So, I got that all taken care of. Then I came home and went back to bed from 10 till noon.

We just had lunch at our fave coffee shop. I had bacon quiche and a slice of homemade blackberry pie. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Now I’m gonna sit out in our screened-in porch and play on the Internet, read some magazines and probably take a nap. I like snoozing on the porch. Plus, the weather is awesome! Nice and cool, and the birds and squirrels are out like crazy in our yard. Oh – some time today I have to clean the bathrooms – that must’ve slipped my mind.

Tonight I’m making sweet and sour pork. Should be easy and yummy. I think we’ll probably eat later since we had lunch out today. Tomorrow I’m making this recipe for beans and rice with chicken. It’s fun to cook during the summer – no pressures. We eat later, and I don’t have to worry about getting stuff done after work since I’m home all day. I think if I was a stay-at home person I would definitely cook more. Even bake. Which I enjoy doing too.

Alrighty then – enough for now – off I go!

I got much done today. I knit a little bit, did some homework and did some reading. I am going bed to read more. I need to finish the book I’m reading right now because I’m anxious to move on with a new book.

I have to go to school tomorrow and get some stuff done. Especially for my online class. It starts next week and I have to tie up loose ends on it.

Mark made dinner tonight – yummy salad. He makes the best “Olive Garden” salad. He can make it almost like they do. I can’t shove it in my mouth quick enough. Delish! Tomorrow is my turn for dinner. Wish me luck – the last thing I made ended up in the trash. Oh well…

I just got done “spring cleaning” the kitchen. I am all sweaty and smell like cleansers and stuff. My hands get all dry from touching water and cleaners. I know I should wear gloves, but I can really work better without them, plus they make my hands stink and sweat so much. I had the windows open to air out the place, but I think I’ll close up for a little bit – it’s getting humid and sticky.

I never watched my show last night, I ended up taping it, so that means I have to watch it tonight, that’s fine, I’ll just knit and watch TV. I’m a little sleepy, so I may take a shower and hit they hay a little bit. Or, I may just nap, then get up and take a shower. Who knows. I am feeling lazy after working for a few hours in the kitchen. Mark is in charge of dinner tonight, so that’s a relief. It takes some pressure off me and he likes to play chef anyway.

all for now!

Late last night I started working on some of my “homework” stuff for fall. I know it’s early, but you have no idea how much I reading I have to do. I do not want to be burdened with it all at once in August. So, I am starting slowly. I actually am working on some more of it today.

I really had planned on watching TV tonight. Yes, I said watching TV. I have no idea when I last watched anything, but Showtime is showing an original production of The Lion In Winter, and that is one of my all-time favorite plays. I saw it live once and I adore everything about it. OF course, the original movie is awesome too, but I am pumped to see this. I guess I better have a tape ready to tape the darn thing – because I just have a gut feeling I won’t be able to watch for some reason…. I have a feeling my mom will call. I tried calling her earlier today and she wasn’t home. I bet she’ll return the call tonight. Oh well, nothing wrong with watching it on video.

I think we’re just going to be lazy and have sandwiches and stuff for dinner again – that’s what we had last night. That and some veggies or something will be dinner. Later this week I’ll cook for real. But now I need to brew up some more iced tea. I am suckin’ it down faster and faster with each batch. I am falling in love with my different flavor combinations. Some have been better than others, but I am happy to be experimenting.

Well, we’re back from our trip. We had a great time. We left early Friday morning so we could spend the day doing fun things. We got to Wichita about 10:30 and went directly to Barnes and Noble. I sipped on some iced tea while I looked at the craft books – mostly knitting, but a lot of other fun ones too. When we were hungry for lunch we went next door to Souper Salad and made giganticly awesome salads. After lunch we went back to Barnes and Noble to kill some time – Mark looked at stuff while I sat in a comfy chair and worked on my knitting.

We checked into our hotel and took a nap – Mark wasn’t feeling up to par (sinus infection?). Then we got ready and located the theatre where Mark’s play was to be performed. Very cool space. Then we parked and looked for a place to get an appetizer before the show. We found this place:

We tried the hummus shawarma (wonderfully yummy and creamy hummus with sliced beef and sauteed onions on top of it surrounded with cucumber slices, radish slices, and olives) and the bruschetta trio (three big slices of crisp bruschetta. The first one had salmon, hard-boiled eggs, red onion and capers. The second one had chicken, pickle relish, and more caper. The third one had sliced beef, hummus, and this spicey olive paste. I prefed the chicken one better)Yummy! Then we had a lovely cup of coffee before heading out.

Then we went to the theatre to see Mark’s play. It was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed the show and the people were super nice. They treated us well and we got to talk to some former students too. That was a good thing too. Then we went to Bennigan’s so Mark could grab a snack since he didn’t eat before (long story).

We then went back to the hotel and eventually fell asleep till 9 this morning. On our way out of town we stopped off in Augusta, Kansas, and went to a tea room! I’ll blog about it on my tea blog since this is already super long.

All in all, we had a good time. As you can see:

I was able to sit and knit tonight while we watched a DVD. Mark picked up “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” – not bad. I enjoyed it. My head wasn’t in it too much though. I have a little headache and am mighty sleepy.

I’m done packing and ready for the morning. Guess I’ll get up early and log on real quick to read some blogs. We’re gonna take the laptop with us because the hotel room is wired so we can link to the net. I’m all about that.
