I have been furiously working the past hour getting caught up with little stuff on my desk. You know – all that little stuff can really pile up and turn into big stuff. But, most of it is done. I only have a few more things. That I can handle.

I am slowly dragging stuff home so I will have all my homework over spring break. I don’t want to bring it all home at once – too much. The books I chose this year are serious back breakers.

I didn’t get much packing done last night, so I need to get on that tonight. I am a little concerned about weather – I think it’ll be nice, but I’m gonna pack some stuff just in case…

Ok, I may log on later…

Today totally feels like a Monday, plus that darn time change isn’t helping matters. We had a pretty good weekend. Yesterday we went to the bookstore and goofed around. I always love doing that. Tonight we have a comedy show, so it’ll be a late night. Tomorrow perhaps I can sleep a little bit more. Kitty is totally confused too. She thinks it’s time to get up at 4 a.m.!!! No baby, go back to bed, we still have some time to sleep – but she didn’t understand. She kept bopping my in the head with her paw and then she tried licking my face – specifically my eyebrows. I started laughing. I couldn’t help it. I eventually got her snuggled in when the alarm went off – perfect timing, huh?

This is only a four day work week – thank goodness! I just counted and we have 23 more days of work till we’re off for summer. Not that I’m excited or anything…heehee.

After the show last night we went for a late dinner with a friend of ours that was in town. We had fun, but we were starting to yawn during our conversation, so knew it was time to head home. I got to sleep around 1 a.m. and got up this morning at 11. I love sleeping in! I had some tea and a pudding cup. Later on we’ll have lunch and then get ready for the show again tonight. Then we have to remember to change our clocks. Tomorrow morning, Mark has to go back to the theatre to strike the set with his students. Another one gone! Only one more show to do this semester! The end is near!

I haven’t done any homework this weekend, but it’s still early, I have time.

Oh, Mark bought a banjo off of ebay yesterday. I have no idea why. He doesn’t know how to read music or anything. He claims he’ll be able to start playing at no time at all. Now, I’m not a music know-it-all, but I can read music and play stuff. Without reading music – and I know he can’t play by ear because he’s tinkered with other instruments – I don’t see how he’s gonna get the banjo (of all instruments). You know how hard that one is to master?!?!? I’m not sure he realizes how hard that is going to be. He swears that this summer the two of us can “jam” together – he on banjo, and me on guitar. Oh my – I bet him that it wouldn’t happen. We’ll see, maybe he’ll prove me wrong and be a banjo prodigy. I’m very optimistic though…

Ah, Saturday night and I’m blogging. Man, do I live a happen’ life or what? Actually, I wouldn’t want to be out anyway. It’s all rainy and grey. I got most of my homework done and what I do have left can wait actually. The rest of tonight I need to straighten up around and then work on some quilting. It’s easy stuff I can do while I’m watching TV or listening to a book. It’s late, we haven’t had dinner yet and I’m getting hungry. WAH. Need to poke around and see what there is – could be cereal – that’s always a good stand-by.

Off to hunt for dinner.

Man, this morning is already flying by. I don’t have a lot of time to work on things in my office today, so I guess I’ll be bringing stuff home – what’s new…

I am looking forward to our weekend. Not too stressful. I like that. I should have plenty of time to get working on stuff I’ve neglected – like crafts and just little stuff I want to take care of.

Had a really good quilting class last night. It’s a fun group. We started applique. First by machine – then by hand. Yikes. I am busy cutting out patterns and working with freezer paper. That was a new one for me.

I did go the campus library yesterday to pick up a book on CD. I have decided that I need to stop watching TV while I’m knitting and start listening to books. I always seem to feel that TV makes me stupid somehow. That’s why I always try and do something while it’s on. Kind of justifies it all for me. But I really should be doing something more productive and intelligent – so I got a book. I am looking forward to that. I bet I can get a lot done this weekend with my crafts if I am in the middle of a good book.

But for now – here’s my five:

1. What was the last song you heard? I have NPR on almost all the time. But, last night I did here that F you back song…..why was I listening to that??

2. What were the last two movies you saw? The Shape of Things on DVD, and Lost in Translation on DVD

3. What were the last three things you purchased? Gas for my car, breakfast at McDonalds this morning, and Diet Pepsi for class last night.

4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? Homework, clean house, laundry, and shop for quilting stuff.

5. Who are the last five people you talked to? A co-worker, my hubby, the lady at the Drive through window who took my money, the lady at the other drive through window who gave me my food, and my quilting teacher.

I got lots of stuff done yesterday, but I’m not sure about today. I have a meeting in the afternoon and my quilting class tonight. Not much time in there, huh? That’s ok, I’ll have some time over the weekend to finally catch up once and for all – including housework. But, the cleaning starts all over again each week. (sigh)

I must’ve been sleeping like a crazy person last night. I woke up and both my pillows were on the floor. I have no idea what I was doing. Plus, the kitty had climbed on top of me and was purring with her little wet nose pressed against my ear. I just don’t have the heart to move her when she’s so cute. So, I stayed there, without a pillow, my neck was all twisted because I was on my side, and I had a kitty on top of me. I couldn’t help myself – I started laughing and woke Mark up. We laughed and the kitty thought it was play time so she jumped off me and started rolling around in between us. It’s 5 am and we’re laughing at her and trying to get back to sleep. Needless to say, she spent the next hour very confused as to why we woke up for a little bit then went right back to sleep. Poor little baby – life is so confusing sometimes.

I am looking for my next knitting project. I’m not done with this one yet – but I kind of want to get something in order so I can jump from one to another without waiting and picking out something. I have been looking all over and I think I’ve narrowed it down to a few. Here’s the kicker – I don’t know how to use double pointed needles or circular needles, plus, I don’t even own any – so my knitting choices are horribly limited. And, I only know 4 things – knit, purl, increase and decrease. Even those all throw me for a loop once in awhile. AND – I can hardly figure out patterns sometimes. But I’ve been weeding through some and hopefully have some that will make me happy.

Must work now. Have a good one.

It is freaking hot in my office!! The humidity is outta control. It’s been raining all day, and it’s so muggy and icky. I hate it!

I’ve been in a strange mood today, probably weather induced.

I think I’ll try and blog later…
